FAQs

1. When should I plan to arrive in New York? Please plan on arriving in New York prior to the open reception on Saturday evening at 7 pm.
2. When will the Anniversary officially end? The 10 Year Anniversary will officially end at 3:00 pm on Monday the 21st. We understand that some people will not be able to take work or school off on Monday, but we do hope you will make it for most of the weekend.
3. Am I required to attend every part of the Anniversary? We understand that it is difficult to put aside almost 2 full days, but we do hope you will be able to attend all of the activities and sessions throughout the weekend. However, if you can only attend certain days, please make sure to note that in your registration. We will not be able to offer a discounted price if you are only attending part of the weekend. The symposium is already very heavily subsidized.
4. Will you provide housing? Unfortunately, we will not be providing housing for alumni. We are more than happy to help you connect with Kivunim alumni who live in New York and would be willing to host.
5. Are there travel subsides? Subsidies will be considered for alumni who are not based in the Northeast. You must fill out this form (link to form). Please keep in mind that we have a limited amount of funds and will try our best to honor your request. If you live in the Northeast but require a travel subsidy, please fill out the form and email us with a special request.
6. Will you be providing meals and will they be Kosher? Yes and Yes! Provided meals include: Sunday– breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Monday– breakfast and lunch.
7. If I am not 21 will I be able to drink at the Opening Reception? Sadly, we are no longer living in Jerusalem so the drinking age in the States is 21. However, we will provide other refreshments and snacks.
8. I’d really like to help lead a breakout session or moderate a panel, who should I contact? Please email Jonathan and Elie at kivunimat10@gmail.com.
